Budget woes are far from finished as the County Council considers reducing funding to the EFO (Educational Facility Officer) ranks by as much as $9m for next year. These officers not only are a positive force in many teens lives, they are available to the community at large, liason between school and police, provide excelent role models for our youth, and often help the schools identify and prevent gang violence. Read about the potential reduction in the Gazette.
Sign a petition to keep the EFOs.
