Post-Prom
May 15, 2009

"Post Prom" is a celebration that will take place at Wheaton High School on Friday, May 15, 2009, after the senior prom ends. Even seniors who do not attend the senior prom are welcome to come and enjoy a safe, smoke-, drug-, and alcohol-free event being hosted by the Wheaton High School PTSA.
Please encourage your student to attend Post Prom instead of parties in private homes or hotel rooms. For more than ten years, Montgomery County public and private high school has sponsored this activity and, as a result, no prom-related fatalities have occurred. Let's continue this tradition to ensure that our children have a safe and alcohol-free party.
Past Post Prom celebrations have featured music, food, laser tag, carnival and casino games, free instant photo key chains to take home and the chance to win great door prizes and gift baskets.
This year's Committee will pick a theme, solicit donations of prizes, raise the money we need to throw the party, organize the decorating and setup, run the games, serve the food, and clean up. We're especially interested in what the seniors think would make their night special. We need underclassmen (freshman, sophomores, juniors) and their families to help out so they have good ideas for their post-prom party.
We need Committee Members and someone to attend county-wide meetings that will help fund the party.
Volunteer Today! or contact PTSA for more information.
It's a tradition at Wheaton to ask families of seniors to contribute to the Post-Prom the amount of their graduation year—so we're asking seniors for a donation this year of $20.09. Of course, we will be happy to accept whatever donation you choose to make or any donations from underclassmen.
Please also consider donating a door prize such as movie tickets or gift certificates.
If you are sending a monetary contribution, please make all checks payable to the WHS PTSA to:
